The Clown with Stars tee is one of the more elusive artifacts associated with the Smashing Pumpkins' early merchandise. The illustrated character is widely believed by collectors to have been drawn by James Iha, though no official documentation has ever confirmed its origin. As with many pieces from the era, the uncertainty has only become part of its history.

This Bureau issue is a meticulous recreation of the rarer blue front print variant. While the domestic release is most commonly found with yellow ink, this version substitutes blue and has primarily surfaced on period European blanks, leading many collectors to believe it was produced for the European market.

The reverse features an extensive catalog of Smashing Pumpkins songs through 1994. Whether the sequence represents a deliberate track listing or simply a random arrangement remains unknown, and the Bureau has elected to preserve it exactly as documented.
